BTS is set for a colossal comeback concert in Seoul, anticipating 260,000 fans and streaming live globally. This marks their first new album release in over three years and the start of an extensive world tour, projected to generate trillions in revenue with significant economic impacts.
South Korea saw the bustling heart of Seoul come to a standstill on Saturday as Kpop sensation BTS launched their comeback concert. The event drew an immense crowd of an estimated 260,000 fans, alongside millions more who tuned in via a live stream on Netflix.
The concert, lasting just over an hour, took place at the historic Gwanghwamun Square. It celebrated the release of BTS's first new album in more than three years and marks the beginning of a massive global tour that will continue into 2027.
In light of past crowd safety concerns, authorities implemented strict measures, deploying over 8,200 personnel to manage the audience. The event is already touted for its significant economic contribution, potentially reaching 2.7 trillion won in tour revenue.
