Initially home to Delhi's first Chief Minister, Chaudhary Brahm Prakash, who resigned amid controversy, the bungalow has seen several officials avoid residing there, though it housed offices occasionally. Madan Lal Khurana, Shakti Sinha, and others have all opted against living in this historic building.

Built in the 1920s and once cherished for its prime location near the Delhi Legislative Assembly, the bungalow is now marked for demolition to pave the way for a state disaster management office.
