The Union Minister of Food Processing Industries, Chirag Paswan, has highlighted the untapped potential within India's spices sector. Speaking at a conclave organized by the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, he emphasized leveraging food processing innovations and global market integration as primary strategies.

Paswan stressed the importance of adhering to quality standards, stating that consistent quality is crucial for building global trust and avoiding export rejections. He pointed to new opportunities in nutraceuticals and wellness products, urging increased investment in research, innovation, and technology.

With India producing over 60 recognized spices and exporting to more than 200 countries, the potential for growth is prominent. Paswan reiterated the government's commitment to reform and policy support, inviting industry stakeholders to contribute to the sector's advancement.
