Tragedy Outside Tihar: Unsuccessful Rescue Operation for Puppy

A harrowing incident unfolded outside Tihar jail when an emergency call summoned rescue teams not for inmates but for a puppy trapped in an open pit. The Delhi Fire Service, receiving the call at 12.55 am, spearheaded a coordinated effort with the National Disaster Response Force to save the animal.
Specialised tools were deployed as rescue teams rushed to the scene aimed at Gate No. 1 of the Tihar Prison Complex. Multiple attempts were made to retrieve the puppy, but the operation, unfortunately, concluded in vain.
Despite the dedicated and prolonged efforts of personnel from both agencies, who worked tirelessly for over three hours, the life of the puppy could not be salvaged, marking a tragic end to the night-time mission.
