A prominent figure in Assamese journalism, Bora was the former editor of the daily 'Asomiya Pratidin'. He suffered a cardiac arrest six months earlier, which exacerbated his health issues.
Bora spent his final days in Jorhat with his daughter. His body will be transported to Guwahati for cremation. His death has prompted condolences from fellow journalists and news organizations.
