Memorabilia and artwork from Matthew Perry's estate, including artifacts from the iconic series 'Friends,' are set for auction to support the Matthew Perry Foundation. This event, organized by Heritage Auctions, highlights Perry's enduring legacy in combatting addiction stigma.
The auction will feature 26 'Friends' scripts from key episodes, Perry's personal replica of the infamous peephole frame, and artwork by renowned artists, among other items. Net proceeds will aim to provide evidence-based care and support recovery initiatives spearheaded by the foundation.
The auction, which begins on June 5, will help fund the Matthew Perry Fellowship in Addiction Medicine and grants for recovering addicts. Perry, who played Chandler Bing from 1994 to 2004, passed away at 54, with ketamine cited as a cause. The auction stands as a testament to his commitment to fighting addiction.
