The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has categorically denied any involvement in recent campus disturbances in West Bengal. These incidents, reported after the assembly election results on May 4, have allegedly involved the use of ABVP's name and symbols in a misleading manner.
ABVP state secretary Neelkantha Bhattacharya pointed fingers at certain factions within the Trinamool Chhatra Parishad (TMCP). He suggested these groups are engaging in actions designed to create chaos and confusion on campuses to discredit the ABVP's reputation.
To counter these allegations, ABVP plans to broaden its reach across West Bengal's educational institutions, intending to instill a sense of nationalism. They have made it clear that while some TMCP members have shown interest in joining, those who disrupt the campus peace won't be welcomed.
