The BJP has alleged that the Trinamool Congress is attempting to instigate post-election violence in West Bengal by disguising their workers as BJP supporters, in a bid to tarnish the saffron party's reputation. BJP national spokesperson, Sambit Patra, stated that the party has never resorted to violence following electoral victories, accusing TMC cadres of using BJP symbols to create chaos.

Speaking to reporters, Patra claimed that despite a '93-94 per cent' voter turnout, the elections were largely peaceful, underscoring Prime Minister Narendra Modi's plea to party members to focus on development rather than revenge. He highlighted that the central government would not permit any violence in the state.

Additionally, the West Bengal BJP stated that TMC members involved in unlawful activities would not find refuge within their party. The BJP emphasized zero tolerance towards violence and impersonation, promising severe legal consequences for any criminal elements attempting to exploit the situation.
