Guwahati-headquartered Poddar Group is gearing up for an ambitious Rs 800 crore expansion, targeting the establishment of 10 new hospitality assets in Northeast India within the next decade. This was confirmed by the group's MD and COO, Ankit Poddar, during a recent press briefing.

The venture will adopt a flexible model involving company-owned, leased, and acquired properties to broaden its portfolio strategically. In line with this plan, Poddar Group's esteemed brand, Hotel Palacio, unveiled a new 83-room property at Paltan Bazar, Guwahati. This property showcases 'Omara,' a signature dining experience developed with renowned Chef Vicky Ratnani.

Poddar Group's chairman, Anup Poddar, articulated the company's vision to elevate Palacio into a distinguished hospitality brand rooted in Assam's cultural identity. The focus remains on adapting to the region's evolving landscape, with the group already marking its presence in multiple sectors including automobiles, media, and healthcare.
