A television series based on the popular 'Fast & Furious' movie franchise is being developed for the Peacock streaming service, NBCUniversal announced recently.

Vin Diesel, known for his role as Dominic Toretto in the films, revealed the news during a presentation at Radio City Music Hall. While originally hesitant to extend the franchise beyond its initial success, Diesel now embraces its expansion, crediting NBCUniversal's Donna Langley for ensuring the story's integrity.

Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the franchise will be honored at the Cannes Film Festival with a special screening. Additionally, new 'Fast & Furious' attractions are planned for Universal Studios, affirming its enduring appeal. The final film in the series is slated for release in 2028.
