Academy Award-winning director Bong Joon-ho is making waves in the animation world with his latest project, 'Ally.' This marks the filmmaker’s first venture into animated films, boasting a remarkable cast featuring Hollywood talents such as Ayo Edebiri and Bradley Cooper.
According to Variety, the movie’s ensemble includes notable names like Dave Bautista, Finn Wolfhard, and filmmaker Werner Herzog. 'Ally' is set in the unexplored depths of the South Pacific, following the adventurous journey of a piglet squid aspiring to witness the sun. The story unfolds when a mysterious aircraft crash disrupts the ocean's tranquility.
Neon, in collaboration with partners CJ ENM, Penture Invest, and Pathe, will bring 'Ally' to North American audiences. The film has been in development since 2019 and is slated for completion in early 2027, with an anticipated release later that year.
