Kumbh 2019 Receives UNESCO Recognition as Model Event, Says Adityanath

Yogi Adityanath has celebrated the Kumbh 2019's recognition by UNESCO for its cultural significance, marking a notable transformation from issues like filth and mismanagement. Speaking in Prayagraj, he reflected on the event's previous challenges but highlighted the strategic improvements made under the BJP-led government.
During his visit, Adityanath inaugurated infrastructure projects worth Rs 400 crore and launched a new website for the Prayagraj Mela Authority. Emphasizing improved safety and modern facilities, he said Prayagraj's development is paving the way for a brighter future. Enhancements like the upcoming four-lane bridge are pivotal to these efforts.
The chief minister praised recent infrastructure advancements, such as the Ganga Expressway reducing travel to Delhi to seven hours. Additionally, a new bridge over the Ganga, with a budget of Rs 1,000 crore, is soon to be operational, further positioning Prayagraj as a 'Smart City'.
