In Tamil Nadu, prominent figures expressed their Eid al-Adha greetings, advocating for strengthened community ties and voluntary self-sacrifice. Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay highlighted the sacredness of the festival, noting its emphasis on values such as faith and sharing that Prophet Ibrahim exemplified through his legendary obedience to divine instruction.
DMK leader M K Stalin wished the Muslim community well, appreciating their dedication to generosity, while AIADMK's Edappadi K Palaniswami spoke on the power of faith to inspire sacrifices for societal benefit. Other leaders, including Vaiko and Premalatha Vijayakanth, echoed these sentiments, urging unity, compassion, and a focus on aiding the marginalized.
