3 held for killing security guard during robbery attempt

Two men were arrested and one juvenile was apprehended on Tuesday for allegedly killing a security guard during a robbery bid in southeast Delhi's Pul Prahladpur area, police said. The victim, Dinesh Sharma, was on the way to his office in Malviya Nagar from Badarpur when Mujumel Hoque, 22, Insan Ali, 20, and their juvenile accomplice attacked him, the police said
Sharma was injured and taken to AIIMS, where he died on Tuesday
A case was registered against the accused under IPC section 302 (murder) and police raided the forest area of Tughlakabad village where the accused were held, Deputy Commissioner of Police (southeast) R P Meena said. Interrogation revealed that the accused used to target passerby on deserted roads, police said. When Sharma resisted to their attempt, they stabbed him on his stomach and fled from the spot. A knife and Rs 700 were recovered from their possession, the police added.
