"Eight trucks belonging to Satbir Bansal were attached on Tuesday. The cost of the trucks is pegged at Rs 96 lakh," Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Greater Noida, Vishal Pandey said. The crackdown is being carried out chiefly under Section 14(1) of the Gangsters Act, which allows attachment of illegal properties, to effectively check activities of gangsters, mafias, criminals and their associates, he said.

The district police had attached Bansal's properties worth Rs 64 lakh, Rs 29.70 lakh and Rs 60 lakh on July 10, 8 and 6, respectively, according to previous official statements. So far, properties, including land and vehicles, worth around Rs 16 crore belonging to members of the dreaded Sundar Bhati and Anil Dujana gangs, among others, have been attached as part of the clampdown, the officials said.
