Security forces apprehend 3 Prepak sympathisers

Security forces apprehended three sympathisers of a proscribed militant outfit People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (Prepak) from two places in Imphal, the Assam Rifles said in a statement Thursday.

The three were apprehended by a joint team of Assam Rifles and Manipur Police on Wednesday, the statement said.

Six Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) were recovered from the possession of one of the apprehended individuals whereas the other two individuals were involved in the transportation of the explosives from Moreh town to Imphal, it said.
