US has given Russia 'signals' about possible San Francisco APEC summit talks -RIA

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Wednesday the U.S. had given 'signals' about its readiness to hold informal talks with Russia at an APEC summit in San Francisco this week, the RIA news agency reported.

President Vladimir Putin is not attending the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) leaders' summit and Moscow will be represented by a deputy prime minister, Alexei Overchuk, instead.
