Lashing out at Himachal Pradesh Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri, for blaming the BJP for trying to 'topple' the government and giving tickets to the rebel MLAs of Congress, Himachal Pradesh Leader of opposition Jairam Thakur on Thursday said that it is the BJP's internal decision, whom the party wants to give the ticket. On Congress party leaders' defection to the BJP ahead of the crucial Lok Sabha elections, Himachal Pradesh Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur said that the leaders want to leave the ideology of the Congress party.

Thakur highlighted the significant number of departures from the Congress, indicating internal disarray within the party. Speaking to ANI, Thakur said, "BJP's leadership decides whom should we give tickets to. Biggest thing is that they (Congress) are distracted right now because so many of their workers left the party. Why are they leaving the party? This situation has come because all is not well in their party. They want to leave the ideology of Congress, join BJP and strengthen PM Modi, It is our party's decision whether to include them in the party or not".

Himachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri earlier blamed the BJP for trying to 'topple' the government in the state. "There was an attempt to topple the Himachal Pradesh government. It was clear when they (BJP) decided to give tickets to all the rebel 9 MLAs. It has been apparent that the BJP was behind the whole episode of bringing down the state government (Himachal Pradesh). Jairam Thakur was in a tearing hurry and he wanted to become the CM; they did conspire but faced defeat," Agnihotri said.

"There is no danger to our government; 'Operation Lotus' in the state has utterly failed, everything is debunked and now the decision will be taken in the people's court," he added. Earlier, On March 26, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) declared that it would field six former Congress MLAs, who had been disqualified from the House, as its candidates for the Himachal Pradesh Assembly by-elections.
