Border Security Force (BSF) troops have apprehended a Pakistani national near the India-Pakistan border fence in Punjab's Amritsar district, the officials said on Monday. The BSF said that it observed the suspected movement of a person in the area ahead of the border fence on April 22 in the morning.
"The troops on duty immediately challenged and caught hold of him as he tried to escape towards the IB," it added. After questioning, the apprehended person was revealed to be a Pakistani national, it said.
According to the BSF officials, nothing objectionable was recovered from his possession. "After initial questioning, the apprehended person was handed over to Punjab Police for further investigation.
