Union Minister Launches 10th Round of Coal Mine Auctions

Union Coal and Mines Minister G Kishan Reddy launched the 10th round of commercial coal mine auctions in Hyderabad. The auction includes 67 coal mines, aimed at boosting domestic coal production and ensuring energy security. Reddy emphasized reducing coal imports and noted previous successful auctions.

Union Coal and Mines Minister G Kishan Reddy on Friday inaugurated the 10th round of commercial coal mine auctions in Hyderabad. This round features 67 coal mines, aimed at bolstering domestic coal production while ensuring the nation's energy security.

Reddy stressed the importance of reducing coal imports and ramping up domestic production. He noted that a total of 107 coal mines have been successfully auctioned in previous rounds.

According to an official statement from the Ministry of Coal, 60 coal blocks were anticipated to be part of this auction round.
