Following heavy rainfall, a house collapsed in the Khambhalia taluka of Dwarka district, Gujarat, on Tuesday. Upon receiving the information, a team from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) promptly arrived and initiated rescue operations.

Visuals from the scene reveal substantial damage in the area. Further details are currently awaited.

Earlier in the day, heavy rains in Gujarat's Porbandar district resulted in significant waterlogging. KD Lakhani, District Collector of Porbandar, confirmed that there have been no casualties despite the incessant rainfall.

Meanwhile, the city of Surat faced severe disruptions as the heavy rains caused extensive waterlogging on Monday. Reports indicate that numerous vehicles were stranded on the roads due to flooding. The city also experienced a significant downpour on Sunday.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has projected that extremely heavy rainfall is very likely to continue in Gujarat for the next two days. 'Isolated extremely heavy rainfall is very likely over Gujarat State, Konkan & Goa, and Madhya Maharashtra during the next two days and heavy to very heavy rainfall thereafter,' according to the IMD forecast.
