Prime Suspect in Gwalior Woman's Murder Arrested After Police Encounter
Police in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, have arrested Akash Jadoun, the main suspect in the murder of a woman on July 29. Jadoun was apprehended after a brief encounter where he sustained injuries. Further investigations are in progress.

Police have apprehended Akash Jadoun (24), the prime suspect in the murder of a woman in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, officials said on Friday. Jadoun, a resident of Sabalgarh in Morena district, was arrested following an encounter in the Kampu police station area earlier in the day.
Superintendent of Police Dharmaveer Singh stated that a combing operation was conducted Thursday night, aiming to capture the absconding Jadoun. The crime branch team received intel about his location, leading to the encounter on Sheetla Mata Mandir Road via Shivpuri Link Road, where the suspect attempted to flee but was injured in the police retaliation.
Jadoun, who allegedly shot dead a woman on July 29 under Madhav Ganj police station limits, is now undergoing treatment. One of his accomplices, Soham, had already been arrested in connection with the same case. Further investigation is ongoing, SP Singh added.
