The Meghalaya government on Friday announced a significant stride in agricultural marketing, signing an agreement with Mother Dairy Fruits and Vegetables. The MoU aims to enhance the agricultural supply chain and marketing mechanisms in the northeastern state.
According to the Meghalaya State Agricultural Marketing Board, this collaboration will reduce transit times for produce, allowing it to reach larger markets efficiently. Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma praised the initiative, highlighting its potential to benefit farmers through Mother Dairy's extensive network.
The partnership will address key challenges faced by farmers, improving market connectivity and post-harvest care.
