The Supreme Court is set to host a special screening of the Hindi movie 'Laapataa Ladies' on Friday, inviting all its judges, their spouses, and members of the registry. Producers Aamir Khan and director Kiran Rao will also attend the screening.

This event is part of the celebrations marking the 75th anniversary of the Supreme Court of India. The film, which addresses the theme of gender equality, will be screened in the auditorium of the Court's administrative building complex on August 9, 2024.

The movie will be shown from 4:15 PM to 6:20 PM. As per an official circular, the attendance of Kiran Rao and Aamir Khan has been confirmed. The film is set to highlight critical issues regarding gender equality, furthering the Court's commitment to such themes.
