U.S. Stock Index Futures Surge on Abating Inflation Pressures

The U.S. Labor Department data revealed a 0.1% rise in the producer price index for July, falling short of economists' 0.2% rise forecast by Reuters. Annually, the index increased to 2.2%, just under the anticipated 2.3%.
Excluding volatile food and energy components, the core PPI did not experience any month-on-month growth, contrary to the 0.2% rise projected. Annually, the core measure was at 2.4%, below the estimated 2.7%. By 08:30 a.m., Dow E-minis climbed 111 points (0.28%), S&P 500 E-minis surged 32 points (0.57%), and Nasdaq 100 E-minis rose 154 points (0.83%).
