Speaking at the National Geoscience Awards, Murmu highlighted that essential minerals, including lithium, are indispensable for clean energy technologies such as wind turbines and electric vehicle batteries.

Union Coal and Mines Minister G Kishan Reddy echoed this sentiment, revealing the government's plans to auction 14 critical mineral blocks and prioritize offshore block exploitation, all part of the broader commitment to sustainable development.
