Community Unites in Flood Relief: Contributions Pour into Chief Minister's Fund
Following devastating floods in the state, various sectors have rallied to support the Chief Minister's Relief Fund. State Bank of India, ministers, social organizations, and even individuals have made significant contributions, demonstrating a strong communal response. The Chief Minister lauds the collective effort in setting a nationwide precedent for handling natural calamities.

In the aftermath of severe flooding, individuals and organizations from diverse sectors, including banks and social organizations, have come together to contribute to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund. Responding to Chief Minister Manik Saha's appeal, financial aid is being deposited daily, showcasing a robust humanitarian response.
The Chief Minister's office announced that the State Bank of India has donated Rs. 25,00,000. Among other contributors, Minister Tinku Roy donated Rs. 50,000, Speaker Biswa Bandhu Sen contributed Rs. 63,000, and National Law University faculty and staff donated Rs. 70,000. Contributions came from various other groups, including Rs. 1,00,000 from the Tripura Board of Wakf and Rs. 3,72,300 from AGMC Teachers Forum.
Chief Minister Manik Saha highlighted the united effort while inaugurating a blood donation camp organized by Ekadanta Social Organisation. After continuous rain and floods since August 19, the state has witnessed 31 fatalities and displacement of over 72,000 individuals. The government has set up 492 relief camps and distributed clothing to about 300 people in the Amarpur and Karbook sub-divisions.
