Waqf Board Chiefs Meet BJP Leaders in Crucial Discussion

On Tuesday, the Waqf Board Chairmen from four states convened with the BJP's National General Secretary (Org), BL Santosh, at the party's headquarters. The meeting, attended by several key figures including National General Secretary BJP Dushyant Gautam, lasted around an hour.
Notable attendees included Uttarakhand Waqf Board Chairman Shadab Shams, Madhya Pradesh Waqf Board Chairman Sanawar Patel, Haryana Waqf Board Administrator Chaudhary Zakir Hussain, BJP Minority Front's National Executive Members Maulana Habib Haider and Nasir Hussain, and former Himachal Waqf Board Chairman Rajbali. The National President of BJP Minority Front, Jamal Siddiqui, was also present.
Sources indicate that a productive discussion took place, with BL Santosh instructing the Minority Front to discreetly continue their work related to the Waqf Board. Ongoing meetings will involve more Waqf Board presidents to further discuss strategies. A newly-formed seven-member committee will lead awareness campaigns to counteract misinformation about the Waqf Board Amendment Bill.
BL Santosh emphasized gathering community input to ensure the Waqf Board does not alienate Muslims. The committee is set to meet with the Joint Parliamentary Committee chairman, Jagdambika Pal, to present collected suggestions.
