Nation Celebrates Ganesh Chaturthi with Grandeur

Goa CM Pramod Sawant, Maharashtra Governor CP Radhakrishnan, and President Droupadi Murmu extended their wishes and participated in rituals on the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. Celebrated with much pomp and show, this ten-day festival highlights harmony, peace, and the cultural significance of Lord Ganesha.

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant marked Ganesh Chaturthi with heartfelt wishes to the populace, emphasizing the festival's grand celebration across the state. 'I extend my best wishes to everyone on Ganesh Chaturthi. The festival is celebrated with great pomp and show in every Goan household,' CM Sawant relayed to ANI.

The Chief Minister, along with his wife and family, participated in the festival's pooja and rituals, showcasing a communal observance. Visuals captured CM Sawant offering prayers to Lord Ganesh during the occasion.

The First Lady of Goa, Sulakshana Sawant, echoed the celebratory spirit, saying, 'Ganesh Chaturthi is a grand festival in Goa, celebrated with joy across the city. My best wishes to all who celebrate.' Maharashtra Governor CP Radhakrishnan, along with family and Raj Bhavan staff, celebrated with aarti at Raj Bhavan's Jal Bhushan residence.

In a nationwide gesture, President Droupadi Murmu greeted Indians both in India and abroad. 'On Ganesh Chaturthi, I extend my warm greetings and best wishes to all Indians. The festival promotes harmony,' President Murmu noted, urging citizens to strive for peace.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also conveyed his wishes, stating, 'Heartiest greetings of Ganesh Chaturthi to all countrymen. Ganpati Bappa Morya.' The ten-day festival, also known as 'Vinayak Chaturthi' or 'Vinayak Chavithi,' sees millions celebrating Ganesha as the 'God of New Beginnings' across the nation.

Devotees bring Ganesh idols to their homes, perform fasts, prepare delicacies, and visit pandals. The festival underscores the god's role as the 'Remover of Obstacles' and celebrates wisdom and intelligence.
