The festival, observed with folded hands and the greeting 'Michhami Dukkadam,' involves Jains fasting for the entire day.
Earlier, Maharashtra Governor CP Radhakrishnan participated in Paryushan Mahaparva 2024 celebrations with the Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur in Mumbai, alongside global spiritual master Pujya Gurudevshri Rakeshji, Maharashtra Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha, and other dignitaries.
The sacred day of Samvatsari is dedicated to practicing Jain teachings of 'Universal Compassion,' promoting inner cleansing through the act of seeking forgiveness.
