Thermax on Thursday announced a strategic partnership with Ceres Power to manufacture large-scale Solid Oxide Electrolysis Cells (SOEC), a key equipment in green hydrogen production.
Leveraging its expertise in heat integration and waste heat recovery, Thermax will design, engineer, and develop pressurised stack array modules (SAM) and their balance of module (SBM), laying the groundwork for a multi-megawatt SOEC electrolyser module.
Thermax CEO Ashish Bhandari highlighted the collaboration as a major milestone in the company's commitment to sustainable energy solutions, while Ceres CEO Phil Caldwell emphasized the opportunity to enter the rapidly growing Indian market for green hydrogen and related applications.
