Political Storm Erupts Over Controversial Remarks by Telangana Minister

In a fiery political spat, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader Dasoju Sravan has sharply criticized Telangana Minister Konda Surekha for her contentious remarks concerning BRS leader KT Rama Rao and actors Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya. Sravan insisted Surekha should be dismissed from the state cabinet for her inflammatory comments.

Sravan expressed his disapproval over Surekha's allegations which he labeled as defamatory and derogatory. He urged civil society to condemn her statements and appealed to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to remove her from the Telangana cabinet. Sravan further alleged that Surekha's remarks indicated a 'perverted mindset' aimed at stirring political controversy.

The controversy escalated on Thursday as BRS Women Corporators lodged a police complaint against Surekha in Hyderabad. Surekha had accused KTR of involvement in the divorce of Samantha and Naga Chaitanya, inciting backlash from several BRS leaders and actor Nagarjuna Akkineni. While Nagarjuna condemned the remarks, calling for respect towards privacy, Surekha stated she would retract her comments if Samantha Prabhu or her fans felt offended.
