In Bhopal, members of the Bharatiya Janata Party's Mahila Morcha assembled at the Crime Branch office, demanding legal action against Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut. The group submitted a memorandum to ACP Mukhtar Qureshi, urging for an FIR in response to Raut's statement alleging the Ladli Behna Yojana's cessation—a claim they deem false and politically motivated.
Sushma Chauhan, District Vice President of BJP's Mahila Morcha, emphasized that the scheme remains active and funds continue to be dispatched to women's bank accounts across Madhya Pradesh. Chauhan criticized Raut for his baseless assertion, which she attributes to a Congress-oriented bias, and insisted on a stringent response.
ACP Qureshi confirmed receipt of the memorandum and stated that subsequent investigations are in motion. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav rebutted Raut's allegations, asserting the uninterrupted continuation of the scheme. He extended an invitation to Raut to visit Madhya Pradesh and observe the scheme's benefits.
