The Maha Kumbh Mela continues to draw immense crowds, as more than 3.324 million devotees took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam at Prayagraj by Saturday morning. According to Uttar Pradesh government reports, participation has reached an extraordinary 501.1 million, marking it as a record-breaking global event.
Officials highlight that the Mahakumbh surpasses populations of countries like the United States and Russia, establishing itself as the largest spiritual assembly worldwide. Consequently, new traffic and bathing protocols have been introduced to manage the influx of devotees attending this sacred gathering.
Regulations now designate specific bathing ghats for devotees coming from various areas, and a 'No Vehicle' zone is enforced throughout the event site. Only emergency services and Mela police vehicles are allowed entry, as Northern Railway adds special trains for attendees. Organizers urge all visitors to adhere to guidelines for an orderly and secure experience.
