Security Forces Uncover Militant Hideout, Seize Arms in Reasi

In Reasi district's Simbli Shajroo area, security forces discovered a militant hideout, retrieving arms and ammunition. This operation underscores security forces' dedication to regional peace. Top military and government officials have reviewed and strengthened security strategies, aiming for a proactive stance against militancy.

In a decisive operation against anti-national forces, security personnel dismantled a militant hideout in Simbli Shajroo, Mahore, Reasi district, seizing a substantial arms cache, officials confirmed on Saturday. Acting on precise intelligence, teams coordinated a search, retrieving AK-47 rounds, UBGLs, and detonators, marking a significant blow to militant efforts in the area.

The operation underscores the steadfast commitment of security forces to maintaining regional peace. Ongoing searches aim to eliminate any residual militant elements. Recently, Lt Gen Navin Sachdeva, White Knight Corps commander, appraised security in Rajouri and Reasi, acknowledging the troops' vigilance and contribution to peace.

On February 13, Jammu and Kashmir's Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha led a security review meeting, underscoring enhanced intelligence, counter-infiltration, and development. Union Home Minister Amit Shah reiterated a zero-tolerance stance on terrorism and encouraged tighter coordination between state and Central security agencies.
