In a sharp critique of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government, BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh accused the administration of corruption, referencing a recent Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report. Chugh claimed that Arvind Kejriwal’s government prioritized liquor policies at the expense of educational development.
Tarun Chugh expressed the BJP's determination to bring these issues to public attention, emphasizing the necessity of accountability and strict punishment for corruption. AAP leader Atishi, on the other hand, defended her party's stance, stressing that the faults highlighted in the old excise policy had already been addressed and revamped by the Kejriwal administration.
Amidst these political tensions, AAP members, led by Atishi, protested outside the Delhi Assembly after being denied entry. The controversy erupted following the presentation of the CAG report, which underscored alleged policy irregularities under the previous AAP government.
