CleanMax, backed by Brookfield, announced on Monday a significant joint venture with Osaka Gas Group to develop a renewable energy portfolio of 300 megawatts (MW) involving an investment of Rs 1,500 crore.

The new joint venture, named 'Clean Max Osaka Gas Renewable Energy Private Limited' (CORE), is poised to make substantial contributions towards India's green energy targets. The partnership will explore large-scale adoption of renewable solutions, complemented by Osaka Gas' vast international expertise.

Commencing operations in Karnataka, CORE intends to leverage the region's potential while furthering CleanMax's reach with multinational clients and tapping into global capital via partners like the Japan Bank for International Cooperation.
