Empowering India's Youth for a Self-Reliant Future

In an inspiring address, General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of Army Staff of the Indian Army, engaged with students and faculty at Softvision College and Research Institute in Indore. He underscored the pivotal role of military-civil collaboration in crafting a self-reliant and globally significant India, aiming for a Viksit Bharat by 2047.

General Dwivedi emphasized education as a continuous journey toward growth and knowledge, aligning with the Indian ethos of 'Vidya' which signifies righteous living and societal contribution. He encouraged students to be critical thinkers, challenging norms to drive significant societal change.

The COAS motivated the youth by asserting, "The aspirations of a rising India hinge on your knowledge and determination." He addressed the importance of national security as a collective effort, highlighting space, cyber, and information warriors' vital roles alongside the military.

He invited young minds to contribute to defense innovation, focusing on the Indian Army's modernization and technological advancements. Emphasizing leadership, General Dwivedi called on students to be agents of change, stating that true progress comes from questioning conventions and embracing new ideas.

Outlining leadership principles—Commitment, Communication, Attitude, Adaptability, Ability, Truth, Trust, and Transparency—he described these traits as essential for national progress. General Dwivedi highlighted the youth as India's most valuable asset, driving the nation's path to greatness.

Encouraging students to challenge ideas and contribute to nation-building, he remarked, "Your academic years are the foundation for becoming responsible citizens whose innovations will drive India's progress." He concluded, "The synergy between India's youth and the Army will propel us towards a self-reliant and globally respected India."
