Union Minister Giriraj Singh has remarked that the recent bail granted to Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leaders Tej Pratap Yadav and Hema Yadav in the Land for Jobs scam adheres strictly to legal stipulations, affirming the government's non-involvement in the process. Singh insisted that the judiciary operates above governmental influence, demonstrating the rule of law at work.
The Rouse Avenue court facilitated bail for Tej Pratap Yadav, Hema Yadav, and other accused individuals on the condition of furnishing personal bonds. The court set a follow-up hearing date for March 20. This development follows a thorough examination of multiple chargesheets filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) implicating former Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav and many others.
The charges pertain to allegations that the former Union Minister of Railways gained land transfers as compensations for appointments within the railways. Accusations highlight discrepancies in the recruitment process, noting appointments without official advertisements. The judicial proceedings remain ongoing, with critical examinations of evidence and legal arguments expected in future court sessions.
