On Thursday, the Shiv Sena displayed posters in Mumbai applauding the Indian Army and Prime Minister Narendra Modi after Operation Sindoor, an offensive conducted by the Armed Forces against Pakistan. These posters were prominently placed near Dadar Station.
The operation, carried out on Wednesday, saw the Indian Armed Forces targeting nine locations inside Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir. This move was a retaliatory response to the terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22. As a consequence, major cities in northern India are on high alert.
Security measures have escalated, with Amritsar Airport remaining closed until further notice. Meanwhile, the Union Government convened an all-party meeting on Thursday morning at the Parliament Library to address the situation post-Operation Sindoor. Union Minister Kiren Rijiju announced this meeting on his official 'X' handle, with opposition leaders Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge attending. At a press briefing, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, and Col Sofiya Qureshi outlined the operation's objectives, emphasizing that nine terror sites, including Muridke, were precisely targeted to avenge the Pahalgam attack victims.
