In the wake of India's retaliatory strikes against Pakistan following the Pahalgam terror attack, HD Devegowda, Rajya Sabha member from the Janata Dal (Secular), lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his 'mature and restrained' approach. Devegowda highlighted Modi's swift return from Saudi Arabia and cancellation of his European tour as evidence of his commitment.

The JD(S) leader emphasized Modi's 'exemplary' leadership, acknowledging the pressure of recent weeks, and expressed gratitude for his steadfast resolve. Devegowda asserted that history will remember Modi's leadership during these trying times fondly, pointing to his spiritual grounding as integral to his decision-making.

Invoking 'dharma', Devegowda prayed for divine guidance for the Prime Minister and the nation.
