Escalating Tensions: India-Actions and Pakistan's Retaliations Under Scrutiny

In the wake of growing hostility between India and Pakistan, Bihar Governor Arif Mohammed Khan criticized Pakistan's longstanding embrace of terrorism, accusing it of being embedded in the nation's policy over decades.

Khan, speaking with ANI, articulated India's stance, asserting that the country is targeting terrorist bases which Pakistan interprets as directly aggressive actions. Echoing similar sentiments, former Punjab DGP Shashi Kant urged for stringent measures from India to curb what he called Pakistan's 'evil acts.' He reiterated the need for India to take definitive action to end these hostilities.

The night of May 7 and 8 witnessed Pakistani airspace breaches and drone infiltrations targeting Indian military installations, according to Colonel Sofiya Qureshi. Reports indicate that between 300 to 400 drones, linked to Turkish manufacturers, were encountered by Indian forces, who intercepted several using advanced methods. The intention behind these aerial maneuvers appears to be intelligence collection and air defense testing, explained Qureshi.

Pakistan's latest maneuvers coincide with India's Operation Sindoor, which targeted nine terrorist facilities in Pakistani territory, responding to persistent cross-border terrorism. This series of retaliations further ignites the already volatile relations shared by the two nations.

Furthermore, Indian Army sources revealed that more than 50 Pakistani drones were downed during a comprehensive counter-drone initiative along the Line of Control and International Borders.
