Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Prepares for Central Regional Council Meeting Amid Development Approvals
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami of Uttarakhand has urged officials to present innovative proposals for sustainable state development ahead of a Central Regional Council meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Additionally, significant funds have been approved for infrastructure projects in Nainital, Rudraprayag, and Almora districts.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami conducted a review meeting on Thursday regarding preparations for the upcoming Central Regional Council gathering chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Varanasi. Held at the chief minister's official residence, the meeting emphasized the council's role as a vital platform for discussion and collaborative engagement between the Centre and the states.
CM Dhami directed officials to design innovative proposals that balance ecological and economic growth, aiming to propel sustainable and comprehensive development within the state. Reflecting this commitment, he approved over Rs 1,269 lakh for diverse infrastructure undertakings in the districts of Nainital and Rudraprayag.
In addition, the chief minister sanctioned Rs 505.71 lakh for constructing a motor road in the Nainital district and Rs 444.66 lakh for road safety enhancements in Rudraprayag. Another approval included Rs 319.20 lakh for a bridge extension on the Nihal River in Nainital. Also sanctioned was an increase in dearness allowances for state employees, along with Rs 475.25 lakh for a new administrative building in Almora's Police Station Deghat.
