Following a series of cyberattacks emanating from Pakistan after the Pahalgam terror incident, Jammu and Kashmir Bank has successfully thwarted any breaches due to its robust cybersecurity infrastructure, according to CEO Amitava Chatterjee.
In an exclusive interview with PTI, Chatterjee revealed that the attacks began within a day of the Pahalgam attack, which tragically claimed the lives of 26 people, mostly tourists. The bank, anticipated such attempts and strengthened its defenses from April 23rd onwards, ensuring uninterrupted service across its applications.
Chatterjee also noted the bank's cybersecurity prowess, highlighting that it has been recognized by both the Jammu and Kashmir government and the Reserve Bank of India for its excellence.
