In a tragic event on Monday morning, three women on their routine morning walk were fatally hit by a train in Assam's Kamrup district, as confirmed by officials. The accident took place on the railway stretch between Bamunigaon and Boko stations.

Kapinjal Kishore Sharma, Chief Public Relations Officer of Northeast Frontier Railway, informed ANI that the incident occurred around 5:25 am when the three women ventured onto the Kamakhya-Goalpara track, where they were run over by Train no. 15643. The victims have been identified as Rumi Das, aged 55, Korabi Mali, aged 60, and Uttara Das, aged 60.

The Northeast Frontier Railway authorities have issued a stern advisory urging the public not to approach or cross railway tracks casually, highlighting that designated crossings should always be used to avert tragic incidents such as this.
