Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami engaged with security personnel during the Legislative Assembly's four-day monsoon session in Bhararisain, which kicked off on August 19. The session saw the introduction of the state's Rs 5315 crore supplementary budget. Additionally, the Minority Educational Institutions Bill, set to replace the Madrasa Board, was presented and is expected to pass.

On visiting the assembly site, CM Dhami inquired about the living conditions of the deployed security staff, praising their resilience under challenging circumstances. He stated that the police's steadfast commitment in disaster-prone and remote areas like Dharali showcases their efficiency and service spirit.

Amidst political dynamics, CM Dhami criticized the previous Congress-led government's enactments, which he claimed favored only the Muslim community. The new bill mandates that by mid-2026, all madrasas in the state align with the Uttarakhand Education Board to retain their minority status. Dhami emphasized that the supplementary budget reflects sustainable and inclusive growth, aligning with PM Modi's vision for comprehensive development. The Assembly is anticipated to approve the bill soon.
