Dehradun Declared Silent Zone for President Murmu's Visit

Dehradun has been declared a 'Silent Zone' during President Droupadi Murmu's visit. The restrictions affect areas around Rajpur Road and Vidhan Sabha, coinciding with her participation in various events from November 2-4. The President also extended greetings to several states on their Formation Day.

The Dehradun District Administration has announced the implementation of a 'Silent Zone' around President Droupadi Murmu's residence during her official visit. The restrictions will be in place from 10 am on November 2 until one hour after her departure on November 3.

The designated Silent Zone includes sections from Brahmkamal Chowk to Rashtrapati Niketan, extending to 100 meters around the Mussoorie Diversion and 300 meters around Vidhan Sabha. The directive is in accordance with Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita. President Murmu is scheduled to visit Uttarakhand from November 2-4.

During her visit, she will attend the University of Patanjali's second convocation, address the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly, participate in the 125th-anniversary function of Raj Bhavan in Nainital, and visit the Neem Karoli Baba Ashram, concluding with Kumaun University's convocation before leaving for New Delhi.

Additionally, President Murmu extended her greetings to the citizens of Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Karnataka, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, and Puducherry on their Formation Day. She praised their contributions to national development and wished for their continued prosperity on the social media platform X.
