Ecuador's government on Wednesday launched an oil tender seeking about $360 million in private investment to develop three blocks in the country's Amazon region.
The three blocks, located in the province of Sucumbios, are expected to produce between 9,000 and 12,000 barrels per day (bpd), Vice Minister of Energy Maria Daniela Conde said at the launch of the bidding round.
Ecuador currently produces around 405,000 bpd, according to official data.
