In a compelling address at the Combat Army Aviation Training School's passing out parade, Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, General Officer in Commanding of the Army's Southern Command, underscored that technological prowess alone does not ensure victory on the battlefield. Instead, it is the skill, judgement, and resolve of aviators that ultimately determine success. Despite significant advancements in unmanned systems and modern reconnaissance tools, Gen Seth emphasized that human capability remains at the core of combat aviation.
The landmark event saw the conclusion of multiple military aviation courses, with Gen Seth presiding as the Reviewing Officer. He remarked, "Even with cutting-edge capability, machines do not win battles; it's the professionalism and resolve of aviators that shape outcomes." The ceremony was notable for the simultaneous graduation of officers from various courses, including the first-ever Combined Internal Pilot and Observer Course, showcasing a step towards integrating manned and unmanned crew training.
The event also featured a Combat Aviation Demonstration, signaling the Indian Army's multi-domain operational readiness. The graduating officers underwent extensive training, involving advanced simulation, ground schooling, and live-flying missions. Gen Seth reminded them of the essential tenets for every mission: "complete situational awareness, adherence to procedures, and commitment to mission safety." He also highlighted the ongoing transformation within the Indian Army through technological modernisation and training doctrine realignment, acknowledging CAATS's pivotal role in developing a technologically adept aviation cadre.
