Gas Exports Resume After Khor Mor Field Attack
Gas exports from Iraq's Khor Mor field have resumed after a drone attack disrupted operations. Liquefied petroleum gas exports resumed, though regional power supplies remain impacted. A rocket attack damaged a storage tank, causing a production shutdown. No responsible party has been identified, following previous attacks in July.
Gas exports from Iraq's Khor Mor field in the Kurdistan region were disrupted by a drone attack but have now resumed, according to Reuters sources. Specifically, liquefied petroleum gas exports are back in operation, though the gas used for regional power generation remains affected.
Dana Gas, a joint field operator, confirmed that on Thursday a rocket struck a storage tank at the site, halting production and causing widespread power outages. Authorities have not identified who is behind Wednesday's attack, and no group has claimed responsibility.
This incident marks the most significant attack since July, when a series of drone strikes in the region resulted in a reduction of around 150,000 barrels of oil production per day.
